Custom Trex® Rear Deck & Patio Design | Trappe, PA

This Trappe, PA project was designed to completely transform the way the homeowners experience their backyard—creating a seamless connection between the indoors and the expansive outdoor space beyond. In collaboration with JFA Architecture & Design, NexGen Remodeling designed and built a custom rear deck and patio that feels like a natural extension of the home.

Constructed with Trex Decking, the new composite deck was thoughtfully designed to maximize views of the large open backyard while creating functional areas for relaxing, entertaining, and everyday outdoor living. Trex® decking offers the beauty of natural wood without the demanding upkeep, featuring a durable protective shell engineered to resist fading, staining, moisture, and wear over time.

The layout and flow of the project were carefully considered to blend architecture, landscape, and lifestyle together—resulting in an outdoor environment that feels both elevated and welcoming. The addition of the patio further enhances the usability of the backyard, providing multiple gathering spaces that can be enjoyed throughout the seasons.

Working closely with Nick Freeth (Remodeling Consultant) and John Lemes (Project Manager), the homeowners experienced a collaborative process centered around communication, thoughtful planning, and attention to detail. From design coordination through final construction, the project was managed with the goal of creating not just a beautiful result, but a smooth and enjoyable remodeling experience.
