NexGen Exterior Home Remodeling recently completed a full Trex® composite deck replacement in Collegeville, PA, transforming an aging, mold-damaged wood deck into a beautiful, low-maintenance outdoor living space built to last.
Working closely with Nick Freeth, Remodeling Consultant, the homeowner selected a complete deck upgrade featuring Trex Enhance® Basics decking in Rocky Harbor and Trex Select® Black Aluminum Railing for a clean, modern look. Our team removed the entire existing deck and support structure before constructing a brand-new rear deck measuring approximately 22′ x 16′, complete with new stairs and built to current township code requirements.
The Trex Enhance® Rocky Harbor decking offers the authentic appearance of natural wood with a contemporary gray tone featuring subtle sandy undertones. Unlike traditional wood decking, Trex composite boards resist rot, warping, splintering, fading, and staining while requiring minimal maintenance.
To complete the project, we installed Trex Select® Black Aluminum Rail Sections, providing a sleek, durable railing system that enhances safety while delivering a timeless architectural finish. Trex Select railing is engineered for long-term performance and complements a wide variety of deck styles.
As a Trex Preferred Installer, NexGen handled every aspect of the project, including the permit application process, township approvals, code compliance, demolition, construction, and final inspections.
