This Trex® composite redeck in Upper Chichester, PA replaced an aging wood deck with a durable, low-maintenance composite upgrade—while maintaining the same footprint the homeowners loved. Nick Freeth, Remodeling Consultant, worked with the homeowners during the sales and planning phase, while the project itself was led and managed on-site by Steve Magiera, Project Manager, who oversaw execution, coordination, and quality control from start to finish.
The NexGen team removed the existing deck and structural components before rebuilding the rear deck to local township code, with all zoning and permitting handled entirely by NexGen. The new deck measures approximately 12’ wide by 16’ deep and includes one set of stairs, providing safe, functional access to the backyard.
The homeowners selected Trex Enhance® Basics decking in Beach Dune, a composite option that delivers the warmth of natural wood with superior resistance to fading, staining, and long-term wear. The design was completed with Trex Select® railing sections and white PVC fascia and stair riser boards, creating a clean, timeless finish that elevates the home’s exterior.
Throughout the build, Steve’s hands-on project management and consistent communication helped make the process smooth and stress-free. The homeowners shared that the team was “very informative, easy to get in touch with, and took care of all zoning and permits,” reinforcing NexGen’s commitment to a well-managed experience—not just a well-built deck.
The finished result is a beautiful, low-maintenance Trex deck built to last, combining expert craftsmanship, thoughtful project leadership, and a seamless homeowner experience that truly upgrades the home.
