With 20 years of hands-on construction experience, Steve brings deep knowledge to his role as Project Manager at NexGen. He’s also responsible for ensuring each phase stays on track, up to and including collecting final payments.

Nick Freeth works closely with homeowners to design and plan exterior projects like decks and home makeovers. With a decade of experience in construction, including time with CertainTeed Roofing and as a NexGen Project Manager, Nick combines hands-on expertise with a passion for helping clients bring their vision to life.
Outside of work, he likes hiking, playing sports, and spending quality time with his wife, daughter, and their French Bulldog in Chester County, PA.

John Lemes is a Project Manager with extensive experience in overseeing all aspects of project execution, from scheduling and material coordination to managing installation crews and ensuring customer satisfaction. Ashley Jimeson has a lifelong passion for residential construction. Raised in a home with a construction office attached, some of her earliest memories include balancing on lumber racks in her dad’s green Ford pickup. Her past role as Business Operations Manager at Hargrave Contractors sharpened her skills in project planning, budgeting, and customer care.
Ashley thrives on connecting with clients, hearing their stories, and helping them bring their home visions to life. She lives in Turnersville, NJ, with her three energetic kids and three mischievous cats.

What Homeowners Need To Know
Do I need to be home for my appointment?
Great question! You know your home best, and it’s so important for us to understand your goals for your deck or porch project.
We ask that you set aside 60-90 minutes for the appointment and have all property owners present for the entire visit.
During the visit, our Expert Remodeling Consultant will:
- Learn about you and your goals for your deck or porch project
- Evaluate the areas associated with the project
- Walk through our recommendations & answer your questions
- Help you to design your project and select materials
- Provide a clear & accurate estimate
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
We ask that you please communicate 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule. We understand that emergencies arise. As soon as you have an indication that you need to cancel or reschedule, please text us at 267-651-9544 or call us at 215-277-7630.
Can you replace my old deck?
Yes, 85% of our decking work is replacing current decks in Pennsylvania and New Jersey homes. We’ll inspect your current footings and help determine what services you need to ensure your deck is safe for years to come. What is Trex® made out of?
Trex® is made out of 95% recyclable materials, including recycled plastic and wood pulp. Trex is the world’s largest manufacturer of wood-alternative decking. There are many benefits of this material:

- Low maintenance: Trex decking doesn’t need sanding, staining, or painting
- Eco-friendly: Trex decking is made from recycled materials

How can I visualize the changes to my home?

What do design services cost?
We have multiple porch and deck design service offerings, many free to the homeowner. For more extensive designs we will offer advanced services at $350, which will be applied to your project when you decide to move forward.
What if I need permits or HOA approval?
We’ve got you covered! We work closely with all municipalities in our service area and specialize in HOA-compliance. We’ll ensure your home meets neighborhood guidelines and strictly follows all building codes.
If an architect is needed, do you include that in the cost of my project?
Too often deck and porch contractors don’t include architectural fees. We strive to ensure you’re not hit with any unknown costs. If your project requires an architect, we will let you know and it will be included in your initial quote.

Why is it important to hire a licensed and insured contractor?
It’s important to ask any contractor working on your home if they are licensed and insured. Uninsured contractors put homeowners at risk, putting the responsibility on their homeowners insurance. NexGen is fully licensed & insured in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, so if anything occurs on the job – we’ve got it covered. You can learn more about our insurance here.
What does the NexGen Process look like?
Over the last 12 years, NexGen has perfected our processes to ensure 1) your project is completed within the estimated timeline 2) we stay within the established budget and 3) we keep you informed. You can learn more about Our Process here.
Who will I work with?
At NexGen you’re working with a team committed to the success of your project. Our goal is to become your trusted go-to provider of exterior home remodeling services for the long term.
During the project you’ll work with the following team members:
- Remodeling Consultant: Your Remodeling Consultant will serve as your advisor, providing design services, recommendations, and quoting out your project. They’ll answer any of your questions and ensure a seamless handoff to your Project Manager.
- Customer Relationship Manager: You’ll be introduced to our Customer Relationship Manager within 48 hours of becoming a NexGen customer. Their role is to answer questions that arise about your home – whether that be during the install or a few years from now. You may see them attend the Pre-Install Inspection and/or the Final Walkthrough.
- Project Manager: Once your project is launched, your Project Manager will be your main point of contact. They’ll perform a Pre-Install Inspection, walking you through what to expect. From there they’ll manage the ordering and keep you up to date with all stages. They’ll be on site during the project and will perform a Final Walkthrough of your home.
- The NexGen App: While not a human – the NexGen App will play a critical role in keeping you in the loop. You’ll be able to communicate with your Project Manager, track the progress of your project, and access all of your documents through the NexGen App.
What kind of warranties come with the project?
There are two types of warranties: 1) Labor Warranty and 2) Manufacturer’s Warranty.
Labor Warranty: NexGen automatically includes a 1-year labor warranty on all projects. You can upgrade this labor warranty to a 5-year or 10-year warranty.
Manufacturer’s Warranty: NexGen is a Trex Platinum Builder, which means you’ll receive the best possible warranty Trex provides. Warrientes will vary depending on 1) your product selections and 2) the type of product (decking, railings, etc).
Your Remodeling Consultant will walk through all options with you. At the end of your project, our team will help you submit all warranty paperwork to ensure you’re covered.

NexGen has chosen to partner with leading brand-names, with manufacturing based in the United States. Each product has been rigorously tested, providing quality options that fit a wide-range of budgets.
